Experimental investigation of convective heat transfer using ethylene glycol-based nano-fluid

Coolant plays important characteristic in automobile industry to prevent failure and damage by balancing the temperature. Due this approach, coolants are being used as new thermal fluid study heat transfer coefficient performance. This consists of an experimental investigation internal convective 50:50 Water-Ethylene Glycol based Nano-fluid through a copper tube 18mm external diameter 16.5mm test section 1m fully turbulent regime. Total Nano at three different volumetric concentrations nanoparticles is estimated. Local eight points along varying Reynolds number also determined. At 0.15% concentration SiO2 Nanoparticles (NPS) 29% increment (CHT) observed. The decrease rate observed with changing distance axially. Particles disorganized movement NPs undulation increased conductivity can be possible reason for extra ordinary change transfer.
